How do I add a listing?

 

If you are the owner or manager of the dog friendly business or organisation you wish to add, then the best way is to register on the site first and then click the "Add" button towards the bottom of the Members page. Then just complete the form on the next page. By registering on the site first, it means you will easily be able to come back and makes changes to your profile in the future.

 

If you are not associated directly to the dog friendly place you wish to add, then you can still do so by clicking on "Add a listing" in the menu, and completing the form on the next page.

 

 

How do I edit my listing?

 

If you are already registered as a member, your listing(s) should be shown within the Members areas.

 

Click on Members in the menu, then click on the Edit button under Manage Listings towards the bottom of the page.

 

This will show your current listings. You can click on the listing name to see your listing if you wish. Click on Edit next to the listing you wish to change, and make the changes on the next page in the pre-populated form. Make sure you click "Submit" at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

 

If you are not yet a member of the site or your listing is not appearing under your profile, then first register on the site, then email enquries@dogfriendlytogether.co.uk with your username and the name of your dog friendly business or organisation. We will then asscoicate the appropiate listings with your profile.

 

 

How do I delete a listing?

 

If you are already registered on the site, login and click on "Members" in the menu. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Delete" button. The next page will show all the listings under your profile. Click on "Delete" next to the listing you wish to delete.

 

If you are not registered on the site or the listing is not associated with your profile, please email our support team at enquiries@dogfriendlytogether.co.uk with the name of the listing and reason for deletion.

 

 

How much does a listing cost?

 

It's free! Unlike many other dog friendly directories we are free for anyone wishing to promote their dog friendly place, whether that's accommodation, somewhere to eat or a one-off event. The site is also completely free for users wishing to search for dog friendly places and things to do.

 

For those wishing to enhance their listing we do offer a Premium Listing service for only £19.99 + VAT per year which enables you to add an announcement box (e.g. for special offers) to your listing page, social media links (to increase your followers), unlimited images (to show off your dog friendly place from all angles) and the removal of all other advertising from your listing page. Just click on Upgrade in the Members area or email enquiries@dogfriendlytogether.co.uk for more information.

 

 

Will you feature my listing on your Facebook and Twitter pages?

 

As we add dog friendly locations we queue them up for posting to our Social Media platforms, currently Facebook and Twitter (Google+ coming soon). However, due to the volume we are adding and not wishing to annoy our followers with constant tweets, we restrict these to 2/3 a day and it may be some weeks before you are featured. Thereafter, we occasionally pick random places to mention in our posts.

 

However, if you feel you have something particularly newsworthy, by all means send us a Tweet @dogfriendlyto or post on our Facebook page and if appropriate we will retweet and/or share it for you.

 

 

Can you tell me more about...?

 

All the information we have about specific dog friendly places is listed on the individual listing pages along with the contact information for the owners/managers if we have them. We do not manage any of them ourselves and are purely a listing and directory service for those who do.

 

If you need more information about a specific place e.g. a dog friendly pub, we recommend that you contact them direct.

 

 

How do I go about advertising our business on your site?

 

For those businesses wishing to target a nationwide, pet and dog friendly demographic we offer a range of bespoke solutions. In particular we welcome enquiries from dog friendly holiday companies and accommodations. Please click here to read more.

 

 

I visited somewhere listed as being dog friendly but it wasn't! Can it be removed?

 

We will investigate any reports of places which are advertising through DogFriendlyTogether.co.uk when in fact they are not dog friendly, and if necessary remove them from the site.

 

To report a "non dog friendly listing" find the listing page for the business, organisation or event in question, and click the "Report" button. You will be asked to complete a short form. We aim to investigate and act on all such reports within 2 to 3 working days althought it can sometimes take longer if we have to wait for responses from third parties.
